Hi there!
My name’s Kieran Lilley.
I’m passionate about a globally connected world, equitable and cohesive communities, the environment, and sport.
For 8 and a half years, I worked for Football Australia - the organisation responsible for Australia’s national football (soccer) teams, including the Matildas and Socceroos, as well as the 1.9 million Australians who play community football. My work frequently took me to countries in Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific.
With two key projects at Football Australia concluded - designing and financing a legacy from hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia, and securing hosting rights and financing for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 - I stepped away early in 2024 to pursue a longheld dream to hike the Pacific Crest Trail.
I completed the 2,653 mile / 4,270 kilometre long distance trail from Mexico to Canada, going through the American states of California, Oregon, and Washington, in 120 days.
In my spare time, you’ll find me active, enjoying the outdoors, and exploring everything the world has to offer - I love distance running, hiking, mountaineering, scuba diving, cycling, photography, bouldering, and travel.
I’m a NOLS certified Wilderness First Responder, GUE Recreational Diver, and PADI Rescue Diver.
Longer term, I’m working on climbing the Seven Summits - the highest mountain on each continent - with five completed to date.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Government & International Relations) from the University of Sydney, a Football Administration Certificate from the World Academy of Sport and Asian Football Confederation, and I’m a graduate of the Asialink Leaders Program.
