Pacific Crest Trail
The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is a 2,653 mile / 4,270 kilometre long distance hiking trail from Mexico to Canada, going through the American states of California, Oregon, and Washington.
The trail has approximately 489,000 feet / 189,000 metres of elevation gain, and travels through a number of iconic environments, including the Mojave Desert, the Sierra Nevada, the volcanoes and forests of northern California and Oregon, as well as Washington’s North Cascades.
In 2024, I hiked the entire length of the Pacific Crest Trail in 120 days, starting in April and finishing in August. While on trail, I was given the trail name ‘Michelangelo’.
