Women’s Leadership Development Program
Football Australia’s International Women’s Leadership Development Program has run since 2016, with an aim to deliver professional and personal development opportunities for female football administrators looking to take the next step in their career progression.
The cohort based program is underpinned by a human-centered design philosophy that has seen participants spend several weeks in Australia, hearing from speakers inside and outside the sports industry, undertaking sessions with a university partner, and working directly with mentors. Emphasis is placed on building a positive environment for learning, so participants can get the most out of the experience.
To date, participants from 12 different countries have been represented across various cohorts.
I was responsible for securing seed funding, designing and delivering the program for the first four cohorts.
